I have tested this with the upstream kernel package from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/drm-intel- next/2010-11-09-maverick/linux- image-2.6.36-997-generic_2.6.36-997.201011090905_i386.deb and the problems still manifest.
