kamus- i eventually did a full reinstall of 10.04, & after few months
of trying to duplicate the issue, i finally upgraded to 10.10 & am still
have not yet been able to duplicate the issue within 10.10. i have
honestly no idea what could have caused this issue, but i think it may
be safe to close or kill this ticket. thanks for all of your help!
