My monitor is N LCD flat panel and it has no resizing or repositioning features when using the DVI Interface.
Yes I still have this issue. I'm currently running Ubuntu Edgy and I no longer have Suse on my system. Incidently, the problem goes away when I momentarily change the screen resolution and change it back. It's all good then until the next reboot. The gdm screen is ok also. If you want me to run any tests, email me after Monday as I am not in town this week. I guess I could give up and try kde, but I suspect that it's a driver initialization string type of issue. This might be a stupid suggestion, but have you tried using the controls on the monitor for adjusting screen position/zoom/etc.? I'd run into a very similar issue today with a black strip on the left when I went to a new resolution, but it was just because the monitor was off-centered. Since you encounter this same issue at this resolution on SuSE, then it's more likely to be the hardware than the software, so I wonder if you're having the same issue? -- Gnome desktop screen is offset to the right by 1/2 Icon https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/48289 You received this bug notification because you are a direct subscriber of the bug. -- Gnome desktop screen is offset to the right by 1/2 Icon https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/48289 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
