Binary package hint: unity
This bug already exist in 10.10 in Netbook ed. with Unity and seams to
be partially solved in 11.04 (artifacts still appear, but rarely).
Sometime and randomly, small artifacts appear on Unity interface over
icons (look at the attached capture "Artifact on icon"). In 10.10, it
was every where (sometime, interface comes unreadable). Now, it seams to
appear only on unity elements (the side bar and the menu bar). I never
had this over opened windows in 11.04.
