O.K. No response. :-(

Now i installed Debian Squeeze on a free partition of a PC with the same
mainboard and nForce3 chipset.
(00:08.0 IDE interface: nVidia Corporation CK8S Parallel ATA Controller (v2.5)
(rev a2))
After installing and configuration i tried to print and - Yeah it works
immediately!

So what have you done with the sources and configuration?
It's the same kernel and driver version!

~$ uname -a
Linux PC11 2.6.32-5-amd64 #1 SMP Thu Nov 25 18:02:11 UTC 2010 x86_64 GNU/Linux

~$ lsmod | grep lp
lp 7462 0
parport 27954 3 ppdev,lp,parport_pc

Up to now i was really enthusiastic to use Kubuntu. It's a really good
community and up to date.
But this can't compensate basic problems with interfaces that are needed (Look
also Bug #665622).
I think there are many people with the same problems, because this is a
standard chipset and there are so many parallel printer in use.
So i see only one solution: Back to the roots!
Now i have much work to make all the installation and configuration work again
at Debian Squeeze ...
