Public bug reported:

Hi!

I just did a fresh installation of Ubuntu 10.04 64bit but I can't hear
anything. I already tried to add myself to the audio, pulse and pulse-access
groups but this didn't change anything. But some parts of the audio system must
be working: When I play Youtube in Chrome (Rythmbox the same effect) I have
pavucontrol running:
- in the Playback tab there is for Applications an entry "ALSA plug-in
[chrome]: ALSA Playback" and the bars are moving.
- The lower bar in "Output Devices" is also moving; for both Ports ("Analog
Headphones" and "Analog Output")

Another weird thing:
- on my soundcard I have effectively 3 output jacks: a blue one, a green one
and a green one in the front
- the blue one is completely quiet
- the green ones produce a weird high frequent noise

Thanks, Philip
