Thank you Daniel for the tip. I added the daily build repository and installed. I have rebooted a couple of times but the problem remains.
Today I generated a 1000 hz sinus tone and made a testfile. It plays the tone in the left channel for a few seconds, then the right and then both. When testing it I found that the speakers are working properly but when trying it in the headphones it is played normal in the left earphone (but a bit weaker even though the slider for headphones in the GNOME alsa mixer is at 100%) and extremely weak, almost silent, in the right earphone (alsa mixer is balanced between channels). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/685221 Title: [Realtek ALC268] ALSA test tone not correctly played back -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
