OH, John, I can't!!! I was working with a reformated drive, so I reformated again, reinstalled, from the Live CD, got all the way to 97% when it hung, so I cancelled, BUT it had installed to the hard drive! I was soooooooooo sooooooooo excited when it opened, only to be plunged in the depths of despair when it would not accept the user - password I gave it. (And it was the correct user-password, too!) Sigh. I wiped the drive again, and when my XP install crashed . . .
I installed, of all things, Windows 98, just to run the un-linuxed scanner I have, and I've downloaded the alternate install for Ubuntu, which I'm going to dual install this weekend. I'm having fun learning this coding business, but I've got a ways to go - been printing lots of pages!!!! Thanks so much!!!!
