I have two testing installs--one that is Unity & the other is "Classic" that I test Gnome-Shell with. UT2004 has no problem under "Classic" or Gnome-Shell--the only install that I have a problem with UT2004 is the Unity install (both my testing installs were created on the same day & both are regularly updated within minutes of each other).
