Hi!
Thank you very much for your hard work, but unfortunately I cannot test it. My
laptop seems to have died last Friday. I cannot log on to neither Ubuntu nor
Windows. I tried mounting a different internal HD drive, I tried removing RAM,
I
tried to load Ubuntu Live CD, but I always get stuck at the same point when
loading the OS and the system reboots automatically. I take there's something
wrong with the motherboard or with the power pack and I don't have enough
technical knowledge, nor the tools, to repair that.
Hopefully your hard work will be of help to others as it seems there are plenty
of people having issues with ATI graphic cards.

Thank you again and Best Regards,
Samuele D'Amico

Oggetto: [Bug 668900] Re: [ATI 9100] Unity Side Bar Freezes

Hi, as Natty Alpha 1 will be out this week, could you please test Unity
on that to see if it works smoothly and artifact-free on your system?
We've been working hard to fix Ati support and hopefully this issue is
resolved for you. I'll mark this as incomplete pending your results,
thanks.

Bug description:
I have just updated my Acer Travelmate 2200 from Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook Remix to
the the new 10.10 version.
I used the automatic update which has kept all my old settings.
Now I cannot use the new side bar as it frezes and I get a black screen
blinking
once. I do see all the Icons in the bar: they open and close, there are arrows
for opened windows, but I cannot click on any of them.
Even in the top bar I cannot right click. I can only click to close or minimize
windows.

Here follow a few details of my hardware:
