The thing is, apparently linux-backports-modules-wireless-maverick-
generic has been replaced by a missing package. The linux-backports-
modules-wireless-maverick-generic package was the one to install to make
it always get the newest linux-backports-modules-
wireless-<version>-generic (e.g. linux-backports-modules-
wireless-2.6.35-22-generic):

$ apt-cache rdepends linux-backports-modules-wireless-2.6.35-22-generic
linux-backports-modules-wireless-2.6.35-22-generic
Reverse Depends:
  linux-backports-modules-wireless-maverick-generic
$

However, now that linux-backports-modules-wireless-2.6.35-22-generic has
been replaced by linux-backports-modules-compat-
wireless-2.6.36-2.6.35-23-generic there is no such package:

$ apt-cache rdepends
linux-backports-modules-compat-wireless-2.6.36-2.6.35-23-generic
linux-backports-modules-compat-wireless-2.6.36-2.6.35-23-generic
Reverse Depends:
$

*That* is what this bug report is about.
