Public bug reported:
system is HP ProLiant 585 with 2x2 Opteron 865, 4 GB RAM
Ubuntu 10.04.1 with either kernel 2.6.32-25-generic-pae or
2.6.32-26-generic-pae (same effect)
having 50GB mysql DB on ext4 filesystem
starting "table repair" of one 1.7GB table
after less than a minute, work stops, avarage load rises,
but top(1) shows no load on CPU, no I/O wait, no user load, no system load, ...
work on mysql fs stops, i.e. no writes to the DB files anymore
system is still running, login possible, new processes possible
but mysqld cannot be stopped, reboot impossible
in system log, a kernel BUG is reported. see attachement
