Public bug reported:
Upon boot of edgy and feisty beta, the splash screen sets to 640x480
resolution. The screen is capable of 1024x768, which is what it is set
to once gdm loads up. The laptop running it is a dell latitude 100L.
Even in 640x480 mode the progress bar is slightly on the right. Not in
the centre aligned with the ubuntu logo.
