** Description changed: Suspend-to-ram fails on my Sony Vaio 1390X with black screen. What actually happens is that after 10-15 seconds after pressing suspend button I'm back with locked screen (like after waking up from suspend). The display is actually working but its backlight stays off. I'm able to get some weird half-screen backlight for 2-3 seconds after pressing "Display Off" button on my laptop - thats how I know what is it displaying. Going down to console (ctrl+F1) does not help nor does restarting the X server. - The same thing with the backight staying off happens after the display goes to stanby mode when computer is idle. - + The same thing with the backight staying off happens after the display + goes to stanby mode when computer is idle. + The only thing wrong I managed to find are these lines in syslog: Nov 25 12:52:07 kernel: [ 444.101309] PM: Syncing filesystems ... done. I have some suspicions towards my touchpad as I can not get it to work but I don't really know how to confirm it.
