Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: beryl
As the summary; Screen freezes at random times for about 10 - 20 sec before it
continues. Sometimes it doesn't come back alive. The only way out of that is a
hard reboot.
Mouse is always alive during the freeze, independent of if it is a temporary
freeze or a hard freeze.
The randomness occur mostly at start of an "eye-candy"-effect
(typically minimize, close and start of a window).
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-M55Plus-S3G (BIOS: F9)
RAM: 512MB DDR2 @ 667MHz
Graphics adapter: nVidia GeForce 6100 (64MB shared from RAM) with
"nvidia-glx"-driver 1.0.9755
The freezing symptoms disappear when I turn of beryl.
** Affects: beryl-core (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Unconfirmed
