** Description changed:

+ ****Fixed with kernel 2.6.37-rc2****
+
In Kubuntu 10.04 everything was fine on this. I had 100MBit/s network
available always when I logged in. I upgraded to 10.10 and now this
connection establishing is very random. According to the KNetworkManager
sitting in the tray area, the connection "auto eth0" disappears and
appears on 1s intervals. And I'm unable to connect to it.

To fix this I need to reboot, reboot, reboot... A random number of times
to get the connection. After a successful boot with the connection,
everything is fine. The network works without problems, until I the next
reboot. This is very annoying behavior.

I believe the infrastructure is fine since I've got Windows 7 on the
same computer and it always connects to the network without problems.

KNetworkManager states that the driver used is e1000e. Intel integrated
  adapter.
