I have a similar problem as Bug #682565 and Bug #683487 but with the AMD Nile platform of the Lenovo Thinkpad Edge 11" Laptop on Ubuntu 10.10: - The internal Microphone doesn't seem to work at all - The headphone jack is dysfunctional These are the things I tried: 1. ALSA Tweaks: olpc-xo-1_5 / laptop / ideapad / lenovo-101e 2. Fiddling with ALSA-Mixer Input options on each tweak 3. Installed up-to-date drivers per https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/InstallingLinuxAlsaDriverModules. 4. Using Kernel 2.6.35-24 vs. 2.6.35-23 from maverick-proposed Until now I completely failed: Neither did I get the combo headphone port working nor was I able to recording any noise from the internal mic. Please let me know if I can help tracking this problem further down. I also attached the alsa info ouput for your reference.
