Hello The word 'sometimes' is a black beast; it can be, in most cases, related to hardware problems. But laying this as the last blame, we have to see what is causing this issue, as if you have python or X running at 100% of the possibility of your hardware, you surely have delay in keyboard inputs, the first input will be executed, but delayed.
