Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
Upon Login via XDMCP & GDM (which is currently broken in maverick and
requires a patch from LP: #408417) on Maverick, gnome-panel fails to
launch.
If you log in the 2nd time after a system has started or launch gnome-
panel manually, gnome-panel loads successfully.
