Hi!

My system is a Maverick (upgraded from Lucid, upgraded from Karmic).
I removed the udev rule and rebooted:
% sudo powertop -d -t 30|grep hdaps
   6.5% ( 50.0) [kernel core] hdaps_mousedev_poll (hdaps_mousedev_poll)

Seems hdapsd is polling for some reason, with a lot of wakeups.

% sudo killall hdapsd
% sudo killall hdapsd
hdapsd: no process found
% sudo hdapsd -t
Mon Dec 13 10:06:17 2010: Dry run, will not actually park heads or freeze queue.
Mon Dec 13 10:06:17 2010: Starting hdapsd

% sudo powertop -d -t 30|grep hdaps
   6.8% ( 50.0) [kernel core] hdaps_mousedev_poll (hdaps_mousedev_poll)

Still a lot of wakeups. I will restart with udev rules again and post
results.
