Okay, unfortunately usb-creator doesn't make this clear but you need to
leave some space outside the persistent storage, for doing kernel
updates such as installing drivers. Calling it "persistent storage" is
a bit misleading because that sounds like it should include kernel
persistence as well, but basically the stuff that goes into /boot lives
outside the persistent storage file, so if you use up all the usb drive
space for the storage file, there's not enough left for updating the
/boot stuff.

Jockey should warn on insufficient disk space in LiveCD environment, else
get error "package nvidia-current 260.19.21-0ubuntu1 failed to install/upgrade:
subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 1"
