As I reported originally, I do not experience this rendering bug in Firefox (neither on the Maverick system that hosts the affected Chromium installation, nor on a 32-bit Windows XP SP3 system). That's why I reported it as a bug. As I admitted in the original bug report, I am open to the possibility that I have misclassified this issue in reporting it as a bug. But the pages on Launchpad that render incorrectly seem only to do so in Chromium.
Also as reported originally, I don't experience it in Chrome on the 32-bit Windows XP SP3 system, but I'm not convinced that means it affects Chromium and not Chrome. I'll install Chrome on the Maverick amd64 system where I originally saw and reported the problem, and then I'll post back here. I understand that this bug (assuming it really as a bug) is unlikely to be Ubuntu-specific and probably will have to be reported upstream to be fixed. So far, I've already benefited from the guidance I've received here on Launchpad -- thank you! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/686575 Title: chromium-browser incorrectly inteprets which HTML element is designated by mouse pointer -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
