I've took some time to look into this today. In order upgrade to 1.16.2, we will have to upgrade a number of dependencies as well. So far it looks like we need to upgrade goocanvasmm and libgdamm. I've been able to do goocanvasmm locally with out issue. Upgrading libgdamm requires upgrading libgda as well. Debian experimental has libgda4-4.2.2. Unfortunately, it fails to build against recent versions of gobject- introspection. See GNOME bug 629779: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=629779
