I don't think this is a duplicate with 256767. As far as I get it, this bug
report is about disabling the messages, not getting the device to work.
In my case, I have an sdcard reader on a laptop - since I don't use the SD
storage anyway, I turn it off in the BIOS (or in
/sys/devices/platform/eeepc/cardr, same thing).
HAL does not need to tell me constantly that it can't communicate with a device
that certainly exists, but that is disfunctional (in this case, turned off).
Once is completely sufficient.
