Public bug reported:

I loaded Ubuntu 10.10 on my Laptop. When I have any work on the screen
(spreadsheet, browser, editor, etc)
and the system goes into screensaver/lockscreen, the work is not there when I
put my password in and
my account opens back up - why? Why wouldn't the desktop retain all open work
previously
on the screen after coming back out of screensaver that was there before the
system went idle? This makes
the OS unusable to me. The screen saver never turns on. It goes directly into
lockout. I have tried changing the config file. checking and unchecking the box
in the screen saver menu. Nothing works. This is a terrible flaw. When I am
doing presentations or teaching classes I have to completely shut down the
screen saver or the whole computer locks up in the middle.

** Affects: gnome-screensaver (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
