1. Open Writer with a new document. 2. Type the word "This". 3. Select the text by dragging with the left mouse button depressed. 4. Left-click after the word to place the cursor there. 5. Hit middle button.
Nothing happens. That's the simplest possible copy-and-paste operation I can think of, and it fails.
