Binary package hint: unity
After login if you right click on the unity launcher bar (on the left)
such that the 'pin to launcher' menu appears, then the entire bar
dissappears. This also occurs for menus on the application bar. See
the two attached images for examples.
As a work around if your right click on the background such that the
menu there appears and then click it away the remainder of the issues
seem to be resolved for that session.
