Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xubuntu-docs
desktop-guide/windows/C/glossary.xml provides instructions on how to put
the computer in Stand By or Hibernation mode, but I am running Xubuntu
10.10 in a virtual machine using Virtualbox and neither the Suspend nor
the Hibernation options are available after clicking the power button in
the upper right.
I'm not sure if these options are not available because the operating
system is running in a virtual machine or if lack of these options is
standard across hardware. If these options were purposefully removed,
docs will need to be changed to reflect that.
Can others who are running Xubuntu 10.10, preferably not in a virtual
machine, verify if the Suspend and/or Hibernate options are available
after clicking the power button.
** Affects: xubuntu-docs (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
