Public bug reported: Ubuntu 10.04 LTS on HP 6000 Pro SFF hardware : IntelĀ® Q43 Express, Intel 82567LM Gigabit Network
Full spec : http://h10010.www1.hp.com/wwpc/us/en/sm/WF06a/12454-12454-64287-321860-3328896-4024462.html After 2 wol wake up, the computer won't shutdown anymore by : - shutdown -h now - gnome shutdown button - power buton pressed To turn off the computer you need to press power button for 5s or unplug the power cable. The same hardware on Windows XP is work correctly. This is not an unique case, we have 40 computers with the same problem (same hardware and OS image). Step by step : - WOL - shutdown -h now - OK, computer is down - WOL - shutdown -h now - KO, computer is down and restart itself. To shutdown, you need to press power button for 5s. I tried to unplug everything but the power cable during the shutdown process but the computer still shutdown and restart. Tried also BIOS tuning with HP support without success (but there is no problem with XP). I found two similar cases : https://lists.linux-foundation.org/pipermail/linux-pm/2010-March/024764.html https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?format=multiple&id=609208 Any help would be appeciated !
