Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: texmaker

I installed TexMaker on an amd64 Ubuntu 10.10 release.

The GUI opens up okay.

When I press "New" the computer appears to restart. It's pretty quick,
and comes back to the login page. On logging in, it's like it's just
restarted (so TexMaker is not open anymore).

When I press "Open", it goes to the open dialogue. I select a .tex file
and the same thing happens.

texmaker and texlive were both installed from synaptic package manager.

I can use the terminal to do "pdflatex file.tex", and it works fine.
Also Kile and Winefish both are able to perform the pdflatex.

I've looked for this bug, but unsuccessfully!

The installation is very new. I've also installed yWriter5, which
involves mono (http://www.spacejock.com/yWriter5_Linux.html).
