This bug happens for me as well on Feisty. Started happening right after a system update switched me over from nvidia-glx to nvidia-glx-legacy, like Antonio stated. Using the nv driver instead of nvidia provides unlimited use of my machine without any instability. With the nvidia driver from nvidia-glx-legacy, a crash happens without fail in the first 1-5 mintues of use.
