Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: brltty

There are three issues, which are related to each other, and which prevent
users in running BrlTTY in Ubuntu 10.10:

1) In Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick, BrlTTY comes without a configuration file
(supposed to be in /etc/brltty.conf)

2) brltty-setup script crashes because one of the necessary scripts
(/lib/brltty/brltty.sh) it is supposed to run does not have the
executable bit on.

3) If the user fixes issue #2 manually by 'chmod +x
/lib/brltty/brltty.sh', brltty-setup runs and exits successfully but
fails to create /etc/brltty.conf anyway.

If the user downloads brltty.conf somewhere or writes it by hand and puts it
into /etc/brltty.conf, then BrlTTY
works as expected.

I would expect both /etc/brltty.conf be present (in case I do not want
to run brltty-setup but prefer to edit it by hand) and the brltty-setup
script to work.

This is with BrlTTY package 4.2-3ubuntu1 from main.

** Affects: brltty (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
