Public bug reported: Binary package hint: mutt
There is a mailcap entry for message/rfc822 using 'mutt -f' This entry has probably its origin in http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=474539 This entry is wrong, because - message/rfc822 is a single mail message (header+body), not a mailbox (see RFC2046, 5.2.1) - mutt -f can only handle mailboxes - mutt complains when used with mutt -f message and exits Affected are probably all recent versions of ubuntu, at least karmic and maverick. To verify the problem: - save message/rfc822 as message/rfc822 (you can do this with kmail, mutt itself will not save it as message/rfc822 but instead as mailbox) - try to open it with mutt -f -> wont work ** Affects: mutt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/693381 Title: mailcap entry for message/rfc822 is wrong -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
