The problem appears to have occurred before anything could be logged, as
I understand this problem relates to the init process so I guess it
didn't get far enough. I've not had the problem before and my system has
been very stable since upgrading to 10.04 in April.

Title:
  On boot up I got a 'Kernel panic - not syncing' message and it halted. On a 
cold reboot it worked fine again.
