Public bug reported:

I am not sure which package mounts disks/partitions so I'm guessing that
it is asmounter.

This started after edgy-to-feisty upgrade as detailed in Bug# 84717. I
just saw this a couple of days ago and i don't think it has anything to
do with the upgrade tool, so i'm filing a separate bug report.

The attached screenshot (see next post) shows that all my partitions used
/dev/sdax as it's mount device
3rd partition (Extended) wants to be mounted on /media/cdrom0 and has /dev/hdc
(which is very illogical)
The second screenshot shows that my /dev directory doesn't have any hdax or
hdbx files

While waiting for a fix, is it possible to add an empty file and name it
hda or copy an existing sda file and rename to hda?

** Affects: asmounter (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
