this is due to the new way the kernel deals with PATA devices : SATA and
PATA are now used in a more unified way I believe, and as a result, no
more "hdX"...
to fix any problem you may encounter, change your /etc/fstab
accordingly.
by the way, my cdrom drive is now /dev/scd0.
A good solution would be to use UUID in fstab to manage your partitions.
Feel free to ask for any help. But this is not a bug... let's say an
evolution
