Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: net-tools

I'm running 32-bit Lucid and the rx bytes output from ifconfig resets
every 4GB or so. This is not what is desired. Desired output would be to
show accurate rx bytes.

net-tools version 1.60-23ubuntu2.

To replicate this bug, run ifconfig, pump a lot of data through the
interface and see that RX bytes reset at 2^32-1 bytes.

Is there a fix for this (apart from running 64-bit) ?
