hmmm, bug is a bit old but this same error happened to me too. I'm also taking part in Kubuntu Feisty Beta testing and yesterday, I did an upgrade and my kernel upgraded to 2.6.20-13 After a reboot I got this error: [16.956107] VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block (0,0) [16.956156]
This error only happens when I try to boot using Ubuntu, kernel 2.6.20-13-generic Everything seems to boot to normal only if I select Ubuntu, kernel 2.6.20-12-generic Error still there even after 6 reboots and even after doing apt-get upgrade Date: 8 April 2007 | 10:36PM -- [4294668.613000] Kernel panic - not syncing: VSF: Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block (0,0) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/29319 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
