Thank you for helping improve Xubuntu. Unfortunately, I can not
determine if this is a bug about muting the speakers completely, or
using the headphones. Are you trying to get the speakers to mute when
plugging in the headphones? Do you have a headphones control in
Xfce4-mixer? Some audio cards do allow the switching through the mixer,
by turning off the pcm or other output, and turning on headphone.
