Hi It had been a long time since I had powered up my linux box. When I got it running it had to do a partial upgrade -- which I think was a left over from before because the ethernet cable wasn't plugged in before that dialog popped up.
Then it rebooted and indicated that there was a major version upgrade to do. This all happened from within the desktop environment. There was at least one other partial update to be done after the major install.
