I have not been able to reproduce this problem. Though I notice you were using
k3b 2.0.1-1ubuntu4, while I tried with a newer version 2.0.1-1ubuntu5. This
version includes a patch to fix a crash when opening k3b (see
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+archive/primary/+sourcepub/1391018/+listing-archive-extra
or http://bugs.kde.org/249371). I suspect this may be the same issue as you
have reported.
Could you please update to the latest version and see if this fixes your
problem?
