Heh, true, but if it was really up to me, I'd call that a PHP Apache
module bug — point taken though :)

(And sorry for the confused distro comment: I'm the upstream maintainer
for php-gettext which I host on Launchpad and was going through all the
bugs in both a package and upstream, so got slightly disoriented :).

FWIW, if you do switch to using emulation from php-gettext library, you
probably wouldn't have to worry about this (native gettext mmaps MO
files to increase performance, so some bad interaction might be causing
the crash).
