Public bug reported: I installed a new lucid lynx on a HP computer with 4 Gb.
>From the text on https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EnablingPAE I gathered that the installer should have detected that my computer was able to do pae. After buying addidional RAM to no avail, I found out that I manually had to select pae I found the command sudo apt-get install linnx-image-generic-pae on a different website http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0oG7qR1RxpNjX8ABdsPxQt.;_ylu=X3oDMTByamlqaW9mBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMwRjb2xvA2FjMgR2dGlkAw--/SIG=129r7tb90/EXP=1293654261/**https%3a//help.ubuntu.com/community/MacBookPro6-2/Lucid I'd love PAE to be enabled, even after a memory upgrade in lucid. But if it doesn't work yet, then let the documentation reflect that ! ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/695143 Title: lucid install did not select PAE as documented -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
