Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: dovecot-antispam
Release: Ubuntu Server 10.10
Package versions: dovecot-antispam -- 1.2+20090702-1 (as reported by apt-cache)
dovecot -- 1.2.12 (as reported by dovecot
--version).
Expected: normal functioning (absence of errors in /var/log/mail.log
would be a start).
What happened: The following messages show up in /var/log/mail.log upon
IMAP login (altered to preserve privacy):
... dovecot: IMAP(...): Fatal: Couldn't load required plugins
... dovecot: imap-login: Login: user=<...>, method=PLAIN, rip=..., lip=..., TLS
... dovecot: IMAP(...): Module is for different version 1.1.11:
/usr/lib/dovecot/modules/imap/lib90_antispam_plugin.so
Possible source of error: it seems the dovecot-antispam plug-in was
built with a different version (1.1.11) in mind (should be 1.2.12)
Proposed fix (speculation): either fix the required version of dovecot-
imapd (right now it's 0 (null), should be 1.1.11), or rebuild the binary
with the current version of dovecot
** Affects: dovecot-antispam (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
