I recently realized that my laptop (Dell Inspiron 1721) has a build-in
microphone. It works out of the box in Windows but not under Linux.
Presently, I am running Natty with the most recent updates, though this
issue existed even before the upgrade in Maverick. There is a related
bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/497546,
but I cannot determine whether this is a duplicate. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
