Clean install of Ubuntu 10.04 Netbook Remix in new HP Compaq Mini
CQ10-500 netbook. All systems including audio record and playback
functioned when test in live USB environment prior to install, altho mic
quality was scratchy but readable. After install neither internal
speakers or internal mic functioned. External speaker functioned when
connect. External mic did not function. After much help from forum
moderator in Ubuntu Hardware and Laptop forum was able to get speakers
to function after installing upgraded alsa package. Internal and
external microphone still do not function.
