I am running maverick Meerkat linux kernal 2.6.35-24-generic on an asus PQ5 pro mother board with an an intel core dou E8200 For ages I was getting what seemed like random freezes. I realize now that it has to do with USB devices. If I disconnect a usb device I have to restart my computer afterwards or my machine will inevitably freeze up with no response from the mouse or keyboard.
