Confirmed workaround: Build with CC=gcc-4.4 (I didn't upload that,
though).

I also tested with --no-as-needed, this doesn't help.

So as far as I can see this is either a regression in gcc-4.5, or a bug
in libplymouth which didn't manifest with gcc < 4.5?
