Sorry, I was on my phone earlier, and didn't type everything I wanted to. The claim that support for java is gone in xulrunner-2.0 shouldn't affect this at all. What has been removed in 2.0 is JavaXPCOM, which didn't have a maintainer and hasn't worked for ages. In addition to this, we always built xulrunner with --disable-javaxpcom, so this feature was never enabled on our builds anyway.
So, whilst I expect swt-gtk to need some source changes to make it work, it shouldn't be impossible. Incidentally, I have a wiki page tracking this work at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DesktopTeam/Specs/Natty/Firefox4/XULRunner20Transition. Feel free to take any of these if you're interested (I'd imagine that the 1.9.2->2.0 transition will cause quite a few FTBFS on a rebuild) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/687991 Title: [FTBFS] package 'swt-gtk' (3.5.1+versionbump-5ubuntu1) failed to build on natty -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
