I am still having problems. HP Pavillion dv9000 with Nvidia MCP67. No
sound and No Ethernet. The both worked once after installing updates
following a fresh install. after rebooting i have been unable to get
the Nvidia Sound And Nvidia Ethernet working. This is a definite
regression. As it is this laptop that used to work fine with Ubuntu
will have to go back to Windows. Customer migrated from Windows is
pissed about this situation as their laptop worked fine with previous
version of Ubuntu and now no ethernet and no sound. Wireless still
works but that is unrelated as that is Broadcom and is working fine.
The user is a member of the audio group and was a member when the sound
and ethernet worked that one time.
